Words are powerful, God made the entire universe with just words, He spoke the universe and it came to be, this is also true for every one of us. When you wake up in the morning be intentional about the first word that comes out of your mouth

What you do first when you wake up is an indication of what your heart is sensitive to, so when you wake up in the morning, let the first thing that comes out of your mouth be “Thank you, Jesus”

God wants us to honor Him with our words, because it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks, so if you wake up in the morning, do not let anyone or anything hear your voice but God, it is not a religious practice, but it’s proof that God is the most important person in your life

If you do this consistently, you will notice that your heart will be more sensitive towards God and it helps build intimacy with God, after all, the way to build intimacy with anyone is always to speak to them and consciously give them priority

The following are some suggested Bible verses you should confess and corresponding words that should come out of your mouth, feel free to edit them the way that suits you best

  1. “This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.” (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭118‬:‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Thank you, Jesus, for making this day and for giving me and my family the privilege of seeing it. I also thank you because, on this day, I will rejoice and be full of gladness in Jesus’ name.

  1. “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrows that flies by day” (Psalms 91:5 NKJV)

Thank you, Jesus, for protecting me through the night, for the battles you fought on my behalf while I was asleep, and for having already preserved me from the arrows that would fly today, just as you have always done.

  1. “Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart” (Psalms 37:4 NKJV)

Dear LORD, I pray that you influence my desires today. I pray that you put your desires in my heart so that my heart will only desire what you desire and hate anything that displeases you.

  1. “Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass” (Psalms 37:5 NKJV)

LORD, I commit today into your hands, I trust completely in you, I refuse to rely on my understanding, I put you first in everything I do. I pray that you teach me how to talk, how to walk, how to live peacefully with others, and how to fulfill the purpose of my life today.

  1. “Give us this day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11 NKJV)

“And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19 NKJV).

Abba Father, I depend on you for my provision today, I am NOT  relying on my bank account balance or my job to sustain me, but I depend on you to graciously supply all my needs today and everything I would require to go through this day without lacking anything good
